Sifu Claudio Vicente: Keeper of the Legacy

The First Contact

Sifu Claudio's first encounter with Choy Lee Fat was at a seminar.

What struck him immediately was the "practicality and efficiency of the style".

Through a friend and training brother, Sifu Keith, he was introduced to Sifu Giovanni Antonietta, who then presented him to the Grand Master Poon Wai Sanchez – direct student of Grand Master Poon Shing.

Becoming a Disciple

To be accepted as a disciple of Mestre Poon Wai is, in Sifu Claudio's words: "first and foremost an honor." It carries profound responsibilities: supporting his master, developing the legacy of Grand Master Poon Shing, and expanding traditional Kung Fu from its ancient roots in China.

A Teaching Philosophy Rooted in Care

"My greatest gratification as Sifu is seeing the transformation of my students – not only physically and technically, but mainly as better human beings.", he says.

Every class is prepared with attention, care, and professionalism. Sifu Claudio teaches traditional Kung Fu while preserving the principles and ethics passed directly from his master, adapting to each student's unique needs and limits.

Beyond the Dojo

Master of Finance, Master of Healing

Sifu Claudio's dedication to mastery extends far beyond martial arts. He's a financial consultant, with dual degrees from Mackenzie University, and has built a distinguished 30+ year career in finances.

His unique ability to see the whole system – whether a company's finances or a student's Qi flow – comes from this rare combination of analytical rigor and holistic awareness.

The Integration of Disciplines

For Sifu Claudio, there is no contradiction between managing spreadsheets and teaching leopard fist forms, or between filing tax documents and applying acupuncture needles.

"Every student is unique." he teaches. "We respect each student's limits while developing their skills."

The same principle applies to his financial clients: every tax situation is unique. He treats the whole system, not just the symptom. Whether applied to martial arts, medicine, or finance, this philosophy is the thread that ties all his work together.

The Most Important Lesson

When asked "what did your masters teach you?", Sifu Claudio answers without a second thought:

"First and foremost, to be a better human being every day.

To care for my students as if I were caring for my own child."
